SCAD X The Mill - Week 9

SANM 560 - Fall 24

I've been disturbed by the texture of some nuts which reflects the light more than it should do, so I asked Professor Gaynor if I should increase the roughness value of the nuts. The professor suggested using IOR or creating a fresnel node and plugging that into the specularity with a brief explanation of how to do it and how it works. However, I barely know about the texture and Duck has been busy doing color correction, I just simply increased the roughness as a quick solution. I truly believe that following what Professor Gaynor recommended would make the nuts look better, though.

  • Less reflection on almonds & cashews

  • Increased specular of cashews

  • More yellow-ish color to dried apples

Here are the title pages for the final presentation! Used the logo with our new name and the background color from the original package.

We are almost done - we will wrap up the project and have some breakdowns for the team and individual next week!
